I've heard so many times when out playing about how expensive handpan instruments are now. I remember buying my first Hang, in September of 2004, for $700, delivered to me in Port Townsend, WA, from Bern, Switzerland! I may have not been able to afford a Hang or Halo, or even a much lesser handpan, if they were priced the same as today. With better tools and a more efficient making process, stemming from nearly 5 years of experience making pans, I intend to make a new line of good quality 9 note steel handpan at a significantly better price than any other regularly priced production handpan. More information coming soon on Operation Much More Affordable Handpan. Pans to the people!
